Gallery Tilal|Stories of Eves|The Fitting*
This painting is a little jarring on the eyes, but sometimes I feel I have to step out of my comfort zone a little. I felt that the lines emanating from behind her, although at first a playful way to cover my canvas, became very necessary as they complemented her unsettling gaze. To quote just a couple of my children’s remarks: ‘She’s scary.’ ‘She’s mocking me.’ Perfect!
*I changed it. I might change it some more. It’s like that sometimes.
Whoa. Almost too much! Almost.
it’s not a painting to be looked at, but one to run towards and then away from. there are so many contrasts and clashes and craziness, i think i actually have a bit of a headache because of it.
If you can change your painting, can I change my comment?
you can change whatever you like.
It’s very taut… the tension between the delicacy of the bows and the rays behind her is jarring…. My girl has bows also …
This is my favorite work by you. I think the overwhelming emotion in her expression and the flowing rays (reminds me of the sun representations of the Japanese flag~) in the background elevate the intensity. The challenge is good! ヾ(゚▽゚*)ノ
