it says so much. farida is the curator of the gallery. well, we don’t have proper ‘curators’ the way curators in the rest of the developed world operate. she owns the gallery and is always open to new ideas. and she’s obsessive compulsive so we make fun of her all the time.
I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve posted about you in my blog. http://www.thecoconutcake.wordpress.com
I really love your work, its such an inspiration. Keep up the good work so we can feast our eyes and enjoy you pieces :)
I keep coming back to your blog daily, multiple times a day, it’s so inspiring.. I wish I could be that good, draw images from my head and heart, just go crazy with different mediums and colors and not care about what people think of what I draw. I think I’m too harsh on myself, wanting everything to be perfect. The marks of emotion and thought that your paintbrush makes on a canvas is truly beautiful.
the trick is to just let go and stop being so afraid. i get scared sometimes and i just have to wake myself up, give myself a slap on the face and say, you’re the artist, you’re the boss, you’re the queen! he he. it’s the ultimate freedom! thank you, coconut. always happy to inspire :)
Oh, that last photo is so engaging! I love the reaction of the man behind her.
