girls & the pantiles
Posted on July 4, 2015 3 Comments

One of the things I love about being at my brother and his family’s Surrey home is the immediate burst of inspiration I get. From the ever-changing landscape to the three overgrown greenhouses in the wooded area, my heart always swells with excitement! How could I not integrate my work with the nature and architecture the Pantiles has to offer? […]

As long as we’re talking about my Watercolor Sketchbook, I thought I’d share some extra photos taken around my brother’s new home in Surrey.

Christmas time is upon us, it’s snowing on prettygreenbullet and I’m in the mood for a bit of shopping. As much as I’ve always appreciated hand-crafted items, my last trip to London, specifically the Contemporary Crafts & Design Fair in Chelsea, intensified my desire for all things handmade with passion and love. So in the spirit of Christmas […]

It’s not about the drawings, the paintings, the prints, the photos. It’s about where it all comes from. It’s about the energy, the emotion and the disease inside.

My new sofa was finally delivered today. But of course to make space for it, my studio and home had to undergo a major upheaval. After all, it’s the only way to make room for new love.

You can’t really see them but these are the framed postcards from my last exhibition. They watch over Bianca at night, filtering any nightmare and turning it into a dream. Plus I love the way they look with her bed covers and cushions.

This morning, I received via WhatsApp this photo of Mr. Mohammed Al-Fraih in his office. It took me a few seconds to understand why I got this picture and then I saw my painting. I hold a very special connection with people who acquire my work, and today, Mr. Fraih has moved into a little room […]

I visited Noor Alzabin’s elegant home this morning to take some photos of her new acquisition, my painting ‘Girl Not Alone’. I think, however, I ended up taking more photos of Noor, Lali and their excitable doggy Balthazar!

I’m always waiting to receive photos of my works in their new homes (hint, hint to everyone who’s promised to send me a picture and hasn’t!). I do get so excited when I finally do. And then I thought: wait a minute, I’ve got my own little collection of paintings and photographs I’d like […]

One moment she was in my studio in Kuwait, and the next she was in an American SUV driven by Maysaa Al-Mumin en route to Doha, Qatar via Saudi Arabia. She’s now finally up on the Modeen living room wall. This painting, The Note, has seen many exhibitions and even traveled to Florence […]
