new painting } the gossip mongers

I wanted to work on a painting that would make me happy. I disregarded composition and focused simply on creating my women in their colorful dresses. Maybe I just needed company, I don’t know.

I started this painting because I felt I needed good vibes in my life. At the time (around end of Feb) I was scurrying to get my new passport issued, mandatory for all Kuwaitis (it took three attempts!) and consequently get my US visa (another arduous task collecting compelling evidence that I have strong enough reason to return to Kuwait!). I would eventually get both passport and visa (big, fat thanks to Balqis Alateeqi and Jamie Etheridge for their help and support) with enough time to spare.
