A year ago I bought a gorgeous ring from my friend jewelry designer Sylvette Blaimont. This painting is an homage to it and the wonderful Sylvette.
I painted it over an earlier painting I knew was going nowhere.
Yesterday.
All wrapped up and ready to go.

My son Yousef took this picture while I was taking a photo using my self-timer app. It’s really rare that I’m photographed by someone else. It tends to be me photographing others. But I love this shot and I love that my son captured this moment.
