new painting } eve to eve

I started this painting before my trip to London beginning of this month and let it marinate for a while until two days ago. I have made a promise to never end a painting until I love it, and I’m crazy about this one. In the beginning:

Sometimes making the experience part of my Instagram Stories helps me accomplish my goals.
Invariably I goof off. Sandals.
Sock.
In this photo I’d been painting since 7 am, so I take a midday break. At this point I’m at a crossroads and can’t decide if I want to include necks and shoulders or not. My dear friend Laura thinks I shouldn’t because like this ‘their thoughts are connecting’. That makes sense to me.
