UK days } part V

on my way to portobello road to meet my new friend graham day at his antiques stall, this window grabs my attention
This is the fifth part of my last trip to London (I’m posting a week’s worth of pics at a time) spanning September 26th to October 2nd. In terms of reuniting with old friends, meeting new ones and visiting family, this week was my busiest.
{ september 26 }

that night it’s theater then dinner to celebrate my brother’s birthday. we watched ‘the curious incident of the dog in the night’, which i loved, despite it being over-theatrical at times

i always enjoy a cuddle with the girls. christina is especially cuddly tonight in her mohair sweater

September 27th we were at the London Tattoo Convention all day. The day after, a Sunday, I stayed home all day, cleaned the flat and drew.

we are both attracted to the window of this little Japanese restaurant called kirazu. funny enough, we end up sitting at the window, facing the walkers-by, luring them in with our scrumptious feast

i love that so many restaurants are serving tapa-sized portions now. it gives you a chance to try a bit of everything
{ september 29 }

i want an ice-cream cone too so i ask this lovely argentinian man for one and he brings us four. we don’t complain and scarf them all down rather gladly
{ September 30 }

we visit many galleries, meet some of his art world friends and even pop in on a couple of auctions at christie’s and sotheby’s. but it’s this man staring at this statue for minutes that impacts me the most
{ October 2 }

eve and i lunch with sarah at momo’s on heddon street. we dine on yummy chicken wraps and sweet mint tea

despite a labored (and miraculous) trip to meet with sarah, once we’re over the delayed transportation/forgotten phone drama, we’re back to being us
{ October 2 }
I meet my dear friend Nazira in West Hampstead. We have lunch and a sheesha and later take a bus to Kilburn to get our eyebrows done.
