I’m posting the rest of my September/October ‘UK days’ retrospectively, as my laptop went wonky after only a week in London. I’m back in Kuwait now, recovering from my very long trip, getting back into the hang of things.

thursday i meet up with david for a quick cup-o-nespresso. i have two

on my way to oxford to meet david. from there we drive to peterborough

my sister head out to the v & a for a lecture by yves bahar, part of london design week
it’s pouring outside but attendance is good
yves is charismatic and brilliant but i’m not sure i subscribe to his view on technology being the be-all and end-all
afterwards we dine on burgers in south ken

i reunite with my high school spanish teacher mr. duckett. but these days i simply call him ‘peter’. this is one of the very pretty sketchbooks he gifts me

my sister, new friend alice and i visit the ai weiwei exhibition at the royal academy
straight } my favorite work there, this work is composed of hammered out rebars collected from collapsed schools after the sichuan earthquake of 2008
