airplane timelines } ba 156 kuwait to heathrow
.
It’s a long trip to London this time and I’m wondering if I made the right decision to stay for this long. It’s just that I’m at a crossroads and need to be here to know exactly how I want to conduct the next few years of my life.
september 10 } at the airport in kuwait, reemy met us for coffee. for the first time in ages, my being in kuwait and her visiting have been out of synch. i’m going to miss her
for the first two weeks we are staying at my dear friend anna’s in kennington. she’s out of town (another miss) and was generous enough to allow us to housesit
down the street it was donor kabob for dinner
anna’s hippo
september 11 } eve got up to her shenanigans on anna’s windowsill, inspired by linda fennigbauer’s charming postcard
after breakfast yasmine and i sat in st. luke’s park on sydney street. we really miss this place
after a customary trip to green and stones and a light lunch we headed to the saatchi gallery for the start art fair
waiting for naz on the saatchi steps
rachel libeskind
i’m completely in love and utterly inspired. kwang young chun’s pieces make me want to do things
gorgeous. both pieces reminded me of food. the one above evoked feelings of munching on traditional bahraini pastries and this one…well…cheetos. so beautiful. but not because of the edible analogies
every one of these pieces was individually dyed, wrapped in mulberry paper and tied with string made from the same paper
wire men
this cabinet is like a box of dreams with…
…this inside
chim pom’s wonderful ‘hiroshima!!!’ warranted a ‘get ready for this’ by naz, who had stepped in and back out to prepare me for what i’d see
back ‘home’, this’ll be my work station for the next couple weeks
