the little ones } inspired by a doodle this morning

the doodle that re-began it all. it’s not really a doodle but i think you know what i mean

A few months ago I drew some pictures and called them ‘The Little Ones’ because they’re little. And they’re cute. This morning, instead of cleaning my home I picked up the above piece of paper that I’d used to serve as a masking device for one of my paintings, and I wrote some notes on it. Then I accidentally spilled some oatmeal on it and covered that with pencil and a spirally doodle. Then I drew a face, made a mistake on the nose, colored over it with a white pencil and decided to do the same with the eyes and mouth and got this really cool effect. And then it inspired me to create a few more drawings for ‘The Little Ones’ series.

my kingdom for a sharpener } as many erasers as exist in this home, i can never find a sharpener. i have absolutely no sharpeners. so i improvise (ps. the white pencil in this picture was not sharpened by one of my improvisational sharpeners, it came pre-sharpened)
