november 14 } a trip to the courtauld gallery to see the egon schiele ‘radical nude’ exhibition with nouri flayhan

november 15 } it’s back to somerset house for a morning of ice skating. tareq and i took the girls for lessons and i soon found out that we’d be taking lessons too. i was in group 1 (out of 3, 3 being the most advanced)

after a relief-filled non-eventful morning with t and the girls at the skating rink, i met up with sarah at the contemporary crafts & design fair in chelsea

we stole piyush away for a delicious lunch. we all ordered the same chicken salad at the chelsea farmer’s market cafe

that night, party time. here i am with a spanish woman called maria. george took me to this house-warming party which turned into the ‘dutch’ party which then turned into the ‘musical chairs’ party. we left soon after

later on at the crucifix lane club with that night’s friends. i remember sherief and emma’s names, that’s about it. but who cares, really

november 17 } this afternoon it was the churchill war rooms for me. i decided to come here in homage to my 16-year-old son yousef who is a big WWII fan. i took a gazillion photos i plan to share with him, and hope that one day he’ll discover this little gem on his own

ludmilla always cooks me wonderful meals. i feel so spoiled

i am so glad that i got to see anna. i feel like i’ve known her for ages. she interviewed me for canvas magazine once via skype and we really hit it off. after that i met her once, briefly, in june and this lunch at spuntino in soho. i feel like our friendship is just starting to blossom. lunch was cut short because i was leaving that night to kuwait. also, i was having a shit-hair day in case you haven’t noticed. i don’t think i’ve ever seen my hair this bad. ick
