to this day i find it intriguing how bodies can be ‘buried’ above ground. these are very unusual tombs as the doors are metal and padlocked. maybe not unusual for lebanon

back in the 21st century we visit a hipster coffee/bookshop in achrafieh: paper cup

eve enjoys it while i sip on green tea with omar. the place is charming despite its trendiness

we visited the dar bookshop indoors and saw this: mai al-nakib’s book ‘the hidden light of objects’! a wonderful surprise
