you may be wondering why this photo is relevant. well, a. it’s a conveyor belt at the airport here in kuwait, and b. the guy in the ad looks uncannily like my brother
I was looking on google for the recovery time of the Ba157 diode when i found your airplane timelines.
When i was an adolescent i had the habit of doodling all over the pages of my school books,drawing faces,writing text,constructing weird machines….covering any empty space on the pages.
My teachers said “Narrenhände beschmieren tisch und wände” , meaning “the hands of fools smear onto tables and walls”
I had to repeat the sentence one hundred times on a piece of paper.
They meant to punish me,but i was happily fulfilling this task.
Now i am 56 years old and still covering paper with repeating patterns when e.g. listening to people………they think i am not concentrating……but,i think you know, concentrating is much easier while doing this………..my best whishes……Matthias
Thanks for sharing your story, Matthias. I have three children who do the same and I’m constantly battling their teachers over this point! Very few people understand it xxx
