Sometimes I swear I’m just lucky. I sat down this morning to plan for my upcoming workshop at the Project Space in Doha. I looked for a color pencil set (there’s always one somewhere in this house) and found this one with wonderful earthy shades. I’ve always wanted a limited palette because I do tend to go nuts with color. The thing that attracted me most about this set was the fact it included a pencil sharpener which I was in dire need of. I opened the set and the sharpener wasn’t there. I guess I may have bought it one day for the sharpener (that’s one thing always lacking in this house). Anyway, I used the colors and they were spectacular. Not because of the actual colors but because they inspired me to do these three drawings this morning. I really felt in my element.
