airplane timelines } qatar airways flight QR1074 doha to kuwait } march 27, 2014

a little sparse. i was too busy enjoying m’s company. i have to say, this is one of the best flights i’ve had ever. it was like those dreams i have when i’m wondering why the plane is too comfy. it’s hard to explain

because it’s an eye saloon and will only ever be an eye saloon. i wondered if perhaps it made more poetic sense in arabic. it didn’t

the exterior of mathaf museum in doha. this’ll be my home for a week. it’ll house my exhibition for two months. my neighbors will be mona hatoum and etel adnan. how cool is that? for me, very!

mona hatoum’s ‘bunker’ occupies the museum entrance. I find such serenity in her work, despite the title of this exhibition: ‘turbulence’

this is the ‘project space’, a hall that i’ll be doing a week-long residency in, starting april 2nd. the ‘exhibition’ ensuing will be open to the public april 7

assistant curators namkha and tamar going through my sketchbooks. we had a pretty productive brainstorming session that afternoon

that night, room service. club sandwich of course. here, a shy bread roll. i was supposed to write my artist’s statement that evening but went to bed at eight

needless to say, there was panic in the morning when i realized that no matter how much i tried, i couldn’t unclog my writer’s block

mayhem in kuwait airport. confetti, popping balloons, bright lights…and this egyptian actor. i don’t think this guy’s too happy he’s being photographed by a crazy chick in black
Would love to post the top two if you do not mind? http://toemail.wordpress.com
Of course! Although my toes look frostbitten in the first picture :)!
Looks fine, thanks! Will let you know when they are posted.
And it’s posted now. Thanks, and as always, much appreciated! :)
Hooray!
I can’t wait to see here what your show looks like! I wish I could see it in person…
I know me too! Oh it would be great if you were here.
