So this is what happens when there are multiple custodians of the tapestry. I get a deluge of very similar posts. However. Each and every one is special because I know how much work goes into taking one of these shots. So I’d like to thank one mother, two aunties, and two cousins for taking care of my girls this November. If anyone is interested in taking over the job of guardian, and would like to relieve my family of their duties, e-mail me on ghadah@kandari.org.

an extended family affair: this one was taken by my aunty aisha. here the tapestry is hanging from my parents' neighbor's home: aunty iqbal's house. aunty iqbal happens to be my sister-in-law jana's mom. are you still with me?

that is my cousin sharefah taking a photo of the tap. i guess this is up in the mountain too. getting my mom to include the location is a failed cause

i love the colors in this photo, taken by my aunty maryam. i don't know why i am imagining some sort of a thelma and louise situation with my mom, aunties, cousins, tapestry and sometimes friends. they're all still in beirut, so we have yet to hear the stories

ah moussa's castle, qalaat moussa. when we visited beirut a few years ago my son yousef loved this place the best. we had planned to go again together, just him and me as not to rush through. but we never did. it's nice to see my girls were there. thanks, amina, for this shot
