If I was to keep a pet elephant, I would want it to remain small. So cute when they’re calves.
There is a theory (which it currently remains) that surmises elephants will begin to evolve smaller as their natural habitats shrink with human intervention. Then there will be elephant shows and breeding clubs and before we know it there will be Basset Elephants and Hunting Elephants and Sausage Elephants . . .
Elephants stepping through hoops (unless they learn to jump), cadaver elephants, elephants in cute little elephant pullovers, elephants with their heads out the car window, their ears flapping hither and thither…
Great minds! Elephants looking sheepish but important at the same time when they’re being talked about . . .
