red is my new brown
my first red entry
my ‘small’ room at dean st townhouse. not small at all, compared to the tiny and broom closet rooms
too soon after the comfort of my room, i was at the mosaic rooms. this is a work by shada safadi, ‘promises’. i love the shadow play. i’m always intrigued by shadows and reflections
ah, dinner at the hotel restaurant. sarah and i had a good time. after that, i took off my ‘fancy’ clothes and slipped into something more apt for a walk around soho
a small detour. this is sarah’s latest addiction: bubbly tea, or bubble tea. and here a couple of bubblenauts. no. sorry, bubbleologists
my picture of the moon (which was gorgeously gibbous in real life) was photo-bombed by King George IV and his horse
i took this photo for my son yousef. we spent ages looking for the chelsea military antiques store on ‘wickham’ street. what we needed was WHITCOMB street. the english need to learn how to speak english
day two. when it came to shampoo and body wash, i was spoiled for choice. was i a ‘saucy’, ‘knackered’, ‘grumpy’ or ‘lazy’ cow? did i want ‘bullocks’ or a ‘cowlick’? i opted for the combination of ‘grumpy’ shampoo with ‘bullocks’ body wash (which i’m thinking may have been a masculine product)
here you go
i love this. you will be seeing several faucet/tap photos. who knew i had a fascination with these household fixtures?
hot
more cowshed products, and a couple of sexy spigots
i’ve always loved checkered tiles
because i booked online i got a gift, which unfortunately serves me no purpose: cowshed horny cow massage oil
a real key, people! when is the last time you held one of these at a hotel? for practicality’s sake though, guests are given a ‘security’ card, so you don’t have to carry the key around town with you
ooh a treat!
these were so yummy. i devoured them in one go
a little piece of me and a little piece of dean
chair and my mary poppins bag
chair and my mary poppins bag. and me
quaint lamp, trendy roberts radio
that suitcase is real. i had to check that it wasn’t just decor. and there’s rose. remember her?
not my cup of tea, but i wasn’t there to read
i was on the first floor so took these back stairs down. here i was on my way to the green & stone’s art supplier’s in chelsea
ah heaven. really. heaven
i bought the brown and the royal red, among many other goodies
downstairs, upstairs. it’s all good here
now isn’t this the sort of window you’d love to shop
checking out of the townhouse. good bye, damian!
those are real books. i know i keep pointing out that things are real, but stores like pottery barn have me questioning any antique’s authenticity. good bye, dean street townhouse, good bye, man with a lovely smile and good-bye london!
