These are amazing! I love the revealing and concealing layers!
I get so many surprises with these drawings! Like many of the ‘ways’ I draw and paint, there’s a certain feeling of history and documentation I like to create. When I exhibit these in November, I want people to touch them. I want them smudged and full of fingerprints. I really crave that sense of a deep past that’s lacking in a perpetually ‘renewing’ country like Kuwait.
