Sometimes I Think I’m a Photographer|Kuwait’s Historical, Vintage & Classic Cars Museum, Shuwaikh
i love vintage anything, so this morning i was a bit like imelda marcos in a louboutin outlet store. what a treasure trove in the midst of shuwaikh industrial area!
I bet you didn’t know we had a museum of cars in this country. Well, we do. And I was there this morning. If anything lends itself to being photographed, it’s these majestic automobiles. I could describe the experience but nothing beats being there and feeling the sheer magnitude of the sizes, color and stylings of these glorious machines. The museum even houses an original Astin Martin DB5 from the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger.
The address is: Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Block 8, Street 49. You can see the building and sign to your right if you’re driving on the 80 heading towards the City (before the 55 intersection).

on the shelves were stacks of these car listing books. i don't remember what they were called, but if you go, make sure to touch one. they feel divine!
back to the minerva. it was very tricky maneuvering the velvet ropes. another bit of eyesore were the gaudy plants and dried flower arrangements strategically placed throughout the showroom

great post, photos. I think you are a photographe too.
thanks for sharing
thank you. it’s good to know someone other than myself thinks so too!
I think those old books are ‘Hemmings’ – a guide to buying and selling motors. You’re right, they feel (and sound) great. The oldest of them smell fantastic too!
thanks, monty! i do wish i’d paid better attention to what was on and in the books!
