This is by far my leading favorite lady …. the ochre yellow is speaking to me…
i finished this one last night and i am in love with it too. she looks like she’s had to sneak into a cardboard box to read a letter which, instead of being a love letter as she expected, has broken her heart. and we, as intruders, have invaded her boxed-up privacy.
She doesn’t appear heart-broken to me. Reflective. Perhaps. Or puzzled.
well, then, maybe she was upset because we invaded her box. i thought she might have been sad. only she knows.
Reflecting on an old love story, not sad but startled and a little embarassed by being discovered reminiscing…Perhaps :O)I love the choice of colours too.
She’s one of my favorites in this collection. I find comfort in her confinement and the pages of the letter surrounding her.
