New Monday|In the Nick of Time
I have finally completed this painting. It’s taken over a year (well, I did stop for months and months, but still, it was there gnawing at me, simmering on the back burner). I’m very happy with not just the way it has turned out, but the fact that I can include it in Tuesday’s show.
- i’m congratulating myself for using browns. over the years i tried and tried and have finally succeeded in using the elusive color
- close up. i love her
- this is it. i have to say it looks much better in real life
- and made the head smaller. i have a bit of a head complex since mine is huge
- i got rid of the baby, who was freaking me out a little
Gorgeous! She’s gorgeous! I used to look like her when I was younger. I can’t wait to meet her on Tuesday night.
remarkable piece!
Your paintings of people draw the viewer right into a feeling. There seems to be an essence of this woman being timeless. A piece of each woman in her. The eyes are telling of this. Beautiful. In viewing it, I want to say something to her that may bring a smile…..
