the last four. i’m going to miss my mess

these are the final postcards (and the only works) i've created especially for my upcoming exhibition
The date of my exhibition is creeping closer and my stomach just had to turn on me! In the past few days, my turbulent mind was stuck in a body that wouldn’t cooperate. I’ve finally mustered up enough strength, energy and appetite to post this final leg of my postcard series. For the next four to five days, I have to work my ass off to make it all work. And when I say ‘make it all work’, I’m just talking about the menial things like getting pictures framed and captions printed. But none of that compares to a shitty stomach virus so I’m not going to complain any longer!
- this was kind of creepy. i can do without
- i’m going to miss my mess
- this looks quite flat. in real life it’s mounds of cut up, painted, glued and hand-shredded debris from previous postcards. it’s almost like a sacred graveyard that i don’t want to touch. but i need my dining table back
- when i fell sick, i hadn’t considered these finished. but when i saw them with new, and somewhat recuperated eyes, they seem to have completed themselves over the past few days
- these are the final postcards (and the only works) i’ve created especially for my upcoming exhibition
I’m sorry to hear of your illness, Ghadah, wishing you well enough to get all of this done for a fantastic exhibition!

See you dear Ghada tomorrow in your exhibition….cant wait to see your great work…;-))
