From Under the Rug|Expressions Libres…Femmes Artistes du Kuwait
In November 2006, Kuwaiti artists Thuraya Al-Baqsami, Amira Behbehani, Suhaila Al-Najdi and I were invited to exhibit our works at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris. It was a good opportunity for four Kuwaiti women to showcase a sample of their works and a great opportunity for me to discover Paris with three young, vivacious conspirators!
These are some photos from the pre-exhibition. To me, the preparations which went into this exhibition were the right way to go about things. The lighting was taken care of a specialist lighting team and was spot on (pun). I wish I had more photos of the gallery. I’m sorry that I didn’t take more photos of Suhaila’s work. It was a bit of a whirlwind four days.
