I like to flatter myself that I am your collaborator. It never ceases to amaze me how often I look at your work and am inspired and also how much I feel connection and recognition to what you say and how you say it and to what you draw and paint and how you draw and paint it. All the way over here, on the other side of the world. Cultural differences a-plenty, etc. etc. etc. But none of it matters cos art conquers all. Or something like that.
to be honest I think this is disgusting and ur paintings are weird and they always make me feel disgusted …I love art thats why i checked ur blog but I regret it! and this is too kinky yuk!
well, art is always meant to provoke some kind of feeling. i’m not a controversialist but every now and then my paintings do spark feelings of disgust. and to me, if they happen to do that, they happen to do that!
oh, and sum1, i wonder why you ‘regret’ visiting my site. have i turned you off ‘art’?

Would love to know what sum1 thinks of as art! So what if he / she is disgusted? The worst world would be one of uniformity and sameness. A world which no-one seeks to disturb. I’m thinking blancmange. Art has always been one of the most powerful tools we have for change – and the artists are the ones who have instigated that change. I pray they will continue to agitate and provoke the world around them.
i often find that when someone is disgusted by ‘art’, it is because it has unleashed a part of their imagination they keep stashed away. sum1 might have a hairy problem on her hands (or arms, or legs). images of bodily hair on women can be a little cringe inducing to more people than not, thanks to the way we were raised and the images we see around us. men are hard and women are soft, in all senses of both words. why am i less of a woman because of my sharp features, bony fingers/elbows/shins and hairy skin? it doesn’t make sense.
