To think I was going to throw this old lamp away. If it weren’t for a dream I had two nights ago, I would have eventually gotten rid of it. And because of that dream and the work of art I created in it, I now have a new lamp. But let me tell you, this thing was the most difficult object I have ever decopatched. It’s spherical, collapsible and spins on a moving axis, a true pain in the neck (literally). I did it though, and the result is, if I should say so myself, a lot nicer than the one I made in my dream. Don’t you love it when that happens? (more…)

this has been on my bulletin board for as long as i remember. a friend of mine visited one day and admired it. i was like, that old thing? i think some things should be put away in order to truly preserve their value!

i finished my door finally. i just wish i could take out one of my old doors and put in this new (old, broken and desecrated) one. i would have, if i owned this apartment :(

About a year ago, one of my home’s doors had to be broken in order to get one of my children locked inside, out. And now, a whole year later, I finally have a new door. When the workers came in to replace it with the new one, and proceeded to take the broken one out of the apartment, I was like, “Whoa, Misters!” I paid for the new door, there was no way I was going to let them just take it back to the workshop and chuck it in the shredding bin.
