I’m trying to present these sketches in sequence, especially this sketchbook since it follows my pregnancy with Z. There are only three sketches here because the pages after these are the tissue box series which merit their own post.

When you were pregnant with Z? Who’s Z? Zahra? You really take your work seriously don’t you? I think your sketches are very raw and powerful. Paint hides a lot of emotion – a single black line has the power to reveal far more.
Comment by Cooper April 5, 2010 @ 7:01 ami have discovered (not the same way as columbus discovered america, but discovered nonetheless) a funky little button with ‘insert slideshow’ written on it. i won’t be using it so gratuitously-as i unnecessarily did in this post-but it will come in handy for many of my future entries.
